Just heard the release date for the next George R.R. Martin book is pushed back. *cries* My preorder won't help :(
Snugglers!
Bear & Caspian monopolizing my lap (usually I have both of them *laughs*), and James got a cute shot of Kitsune & Caspian snuggling in his comp. room.Excellent Book = Replay by Ken Grimwood

Posterous, now with fun things like themes and tags!
This means I'll be using posterous quite a bit more hopefully. It's nice in that it posts to everywhere I want it to - LJ, FB, Twitter, and Flickr if I have photos. No more going to several sites to update. We'll see if I use it to it's full potential though. I already deleted all the previous posts I had here, since I was just trying it out at the start of things and wasn't sure I would use it long term. I still think I'll find myself preferring to update FB only as that is where I'm at most, but maybe this will surprise me and I'll find emailing things eventually easier. Maybe if I ever leave the house :P
James was more excited regarding tags. I've never really used them before, but I can see the usefulness now that I've been playing w/Evernote. I've been grabbing books suggested by the people following B&N on FB, jewelry ideas, shopping things, so easy to grab and save and index for later. I think I'm going to rely on Evernote for just about everything. It appeals the side of my brain that likes being able to check things off. It's fun! Also, we are going to eventually get iPhones once we get back on top of the bills more, and it'll be amazing having everything I've saved at my fingertips. So many times I've gone into B&N or Half Price Books and blanked on an author name or book title. No more!
Speaking of the iPhone, it'll be nice in that I can really work towards staying in touch with people better. I know I'm horrible at it sometimes, I can be forgetful. I've gotten way better at remembering to charge my phone now that I'm home and the iPhone will be no different I'm sure. But we're also going to get at least some texting, so I don't have to worry over every little charge and I think I'd actually like texting w/ a real keyboard. So many people I know prefer to text than call and I can see the ease in it. But even so - I'll be able to access my email so I can get around charges to text things to Twitter etc. by using posterous. So, maybe I will end up using all this more.
Listen to me, indecisive as ever - it sounds like I'm trying to convince myself. Such is my brain. Mmm... brains...
